MAIN STREET SCREENS

Every screen points at
the businesses next door.

We put a screen in local businesses — front desks, waiting rooms, counters, service bays — and each one promotes the others. The first network goes live in the Sullivan Catskills this January.

What this is

A small network of screens in independent businesses along one corridor. A host business gets the screen, the player and the content at no cost and signs nothing. In return, its own slide runs on every other screen in the network — so a diner is promoted in the inn down the road, and the garage is promoted where people are already waiting.

The screens are not televisions showing cable news. Each one runs a three-minute loop of designed slides that change by day and hour: the Tuesday special appears only on Tuesdays, happy hour comes up at four and leaves at seven, and a sold-out show comes down the moment it sells out. Slides carry QR codes, and the scans are counted.

Advertising from local businesses pays for all of it. Hosts are never among the advertisers.

Where a scan goes

A business with its own slide gets a code that goes straight to its own page — its menu, its booking form, its phone. No stop in between.

Shared slides are the exception, because one code cannot serve five businesses at once. A dining guide listing several restaurants, or the directory of host businesses, needs somewhere for a scan to land — and that is what this site becomes once the screens are up: where to eat, where to stay, what to do and who to call, by region. Nothing to see yet. That part arrives with the screens.

FOUNDING HOSTS · SULLIVAN CATSKILLS

The first fourteen businesses are being signed now.

Nothing is installed until all fourteen are signed, and then the whole network goes up together in January. There is no fee, no contract, and the equipment stays ours — if a host wants it gone, we collect it.

If you run a business along the corridor and want one of the fourteen, the full details and the sign-up form are on the Mountain Digital Marketing Group site.

Main Street Screens is operated by Mountain Digital Marketing Group. The screens run on WyvernSign.
